I am an Associate Professor at Thompson Rivers University in the Faculty of Education and Social Work, where I teach foundational courses in the Masters of Education program. I have previously taught a variety of undergraduate and graduate courses and supported field placements at the University of Wisconsin-River Falls, Brock University, the University of Toronto, and the University of Windsor; in addition, I worked for the Toronto District School Board and in international settings as a public educator. My research interests and publications in the field of education are based on equity initiatives, social justice, deficit thinking, action research, educational law, and international teaching experiences. I recently published a collected volume on “Disruptive Learning Narrative Framework: Analyzing Race, Power and Privilege in Post-Secondary International Service Learning Experiences” in the Fall of 2021 with Bloomsbury Publishing Ltd.
